1. Be proud of your name
So, first, let's just acknowledge that. Yes, saying our name when we know we might stutter on it and when we want to be our best - it's hard. And, second, I want you to realize that overcoming stuttering begins when you say to yourself "I don't want to hide, I don't want to run away. I'm gonna stay here."
Hiding, avoiding, escaping, and holding back - that's exactly what we want to change in stuttering. That's the negative side of stuttering that we want to overcome.
All of our self-confidence and self-esteem deep inside comes down to one phrase we want to say to ourselves and truly feel:
"I'm worthy."Worthy of attention, worthy of the time people might spend waiting, worthy of trying, worthy of playing with saying your name... you are just worthy.
You don't need to "earn" that. You don't have to be perfect to be worthy. You don't have to be beautiful to be worthy. You don't have to be smart to be worthy. You can just be YOU. So, be proud of your name. I want you to feel that pride right now spreading in your body.
